Dr. Ellen McCullough has served as an Associate Program Officer in Agricultural Development at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as an economist for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Examination of the economics of global food and fiber production, consumption, and trade. It explores agriculture's many roles in the global economy vis a vis economic development, food security, political economy, and environmental resource management. Students work on a final project where they are able to examine global agricultural challenges from the perspective of different actors. This course is part of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Program at UGA.
