Dr. Scott Mitchell is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management. He received his BA in Economics from Columbia University, MBA from University of Kansas, and PhD in Management from UC Irvine.
This senior capstone course exposes the student to the role of general management in complex organizations. The class provides the student with decision-making opportunity in major areas of managerial concern: environmental opportunities and constraints, formulation of business policy, and policy implementation mechanisms. Knowledge and skills gained in previous business courses, including marketing, finance, and quantitative methods, will be applied to problems associated with the totality of organizational activity.
